The 39th Annual Hunters Roundup
LIVE & IN-PERSON
Friday, November 6th, 2020
5PM - 10PM
Uvalde County Fairplex RODEO ARENA
215 Veterans Lane, Uvalde, TX 78801
Famously known as “The Golden Triangle”, the Uvalde area is a hub to the many South Texas and West Texas hunters seeking a wide range of species -
from the waves upon waves of Dove hunters in fall wanting to take advantage of our location on Highway 90, giving the option to hunt both north and south zones simultaneously, to sportsman here specifically for our truly impressive native South Texas Whitetail, to even an African Safari without having to get a passport -
Uvalde has it all!
Uvalde is home to four stream-fed pristine rivers, and is the county connecting the Texas Hill Country to the South Texas Brush Country.
The goal in hosting our annual Hunters Roundup event, is to not only showcase the unique geographical aspects that make the Uvalde area a hunters’ paradise, but also our ‘sleeping giants’ of ranches that many of our locals may not know about.
(Including our well known in the hunting industry locals, Mike Stroff who is featured on Savage Outdoors on TV, and recently SCI Hall-of-Fame inducted Larry Weishun.)
We would also like to increase the variety of relevant hunting booths and exhibits, showcasing all things hunting that our locals, and the many visiting out-of-town hunters, will enjoy.
This event draws area residents from far and wide, as well as hunters from all parts of the state and even country!
It has been held on the Friday evening, the day before opening general Whitetail season, for the past 38 years!
The event began as an appreciation dinner for the visiting hunters in 1981, and quickly grew to a giant expo, raffle, and big ‘ol party as the years progressed.
We honor the visiting hunters by having a special VIP section, serving them a complimentary supper and educating them on all-things-Uvalde, sometimes with some impressive goodie-bags!
Event admission is FREE with proof of a valid Texas Parks and
Wildlife Hunting License!
Admission is also free to:
First Responder ID
children under the age of 10
All others subject to a $10 admission fee and Wild Game Dinner fee.
