Founded in 1920, the Uvalde Area Chamber of Commerce has proven to be an invaluable local business and community asset - standing as the unanimous voice behind businesses both new and long established encouraging economic growth, professional standards, community involvement, and local commitment.
Receiving no state or federal tax or appropriations revenues, we operate a budget solely from the receipt of annual membership dues and community fundraiser events.
ABOUT THE CHAMBER
WHAT WE DO
Connect. Improve. Empower.
Connect: To know your market, you also have to know your Chamber Members.
We provide a variety of ways to network and connect with your local business community - gaining yourself and your business exposure - but also a better understanding of who and what makes up our Uvalde.
By connecting our members to each other, we can ensure that they form meaningful relationships and a lasting impact for our community through their working stewardship.
Improve: If you're not striving to be a better you, providing a better service, and therefore a better Uvalde, you're missing out on untapped growth and potential. As the Chamber we understand growth is hard - but it's easier with company. Whether you come into the Chamber office to get a few pointers and a referral to a member who can more extensively help you and your business, or you're participating in the Chamber Professional Development Events - we encourage you to continually improve.
By improving ourselves and our businesses, we can #GrowUvalde to an even bigger and better legacy for our children.
Empower: We encourage our members to be active in their chamber and community through service and leadership. Whether that is being a part of a committee, serving as a board member, graduating the Leadership Uvalde Program to become a Uvalde Ambassador, or by serving with a member civic organization - we know that empowerment of self and others comes through the works of service.
By empowering our members, we become a more effective Chamber - and together can strengthen our community and trade region as a whole.
Participate in our Leadership Uvalde program and become a Uvalde Ambassador!
The purpose of Chamber Programs is for participants to receive education on the qualities that make our invaluable trade region unique, thus ensuring they are capable of promoting local commitment and dedication to the economic growth and prosperity of our city, county, and region.
Chamber Events include the Annual Awards Banquet, networking, ribbon cuttings, new member orientations, and professional development opportunities, among others.
Publicly available Chamber fundraising events and event affiliations include many throughout the calendar year.
To get involved, you have to become a member!
